How's getting a lan server for bf3 going? I'm a little worried as the game has no official lan support, and dice/ea have been very hostile(see here http://www.kotaku.com.au/2011/10/origin-account-bans-threatened-for-playing-on-modded-battlefield-3-beta-servers/) towards people who even just accidentally join these servers.

We will have a dedicated 64 man server in LA at least for this month.  Unfortunately EA is releasing without LAN support, which is a pretty big deal for people like us.  Ideally we would find an RSP for Battlefield 3 in San Diego but for now at least we have the pipe to facilitate our connection to LA.

Yea, I was wondering this also. Seeing as Halloween is going to be in the week, and this event will undoubtedly get in the way of most parties. Will it be Halloween themed also?, and if not should we make it Halloween themed?

I have some questions.
1. the info says it is from 2 Pm to 1 AM on Saturday. Does this mean that the Lan is not overnight and we have to pack up w/ our computers and leave at 1?
2. Does the event allow minors? Myself and 5-10 other friends would like to go but we are all 16-17

1. Yes we do have to pack up with PCs and such at 1AM, we used to have our events run into 5am in the morning, but as of our last few events, it seems the majority of the party is gone by 12am. In the future we want to go a full 24 hours, but we will need the people staying to justify us running our event the entire time.

2. Yes we do allow minors, as long as it is okay with the parent/guardian.

As it is halloween weekend, I do encourage those that would like to dress up to do so, I maybe recycling an old costume of mine, but it is not against the rules, just watch your costumes as we don't want them to get caught in a power supply or power strip and catch on fire.
