Hey guys,
Tribes: Ascend's open beta was released last week and it's just getting better. I'm very impressed with Hi-Rez and their communitcation with the community. You can download it from www.tribesascend.com. I've been playing Tribes since '99 when it was just Starsiege: Tribes. A game formed around a bug called skiiing. It blossomed into the most dynamic FPS series in the world. The only game I could ever really compare would be Legions: Overdrive, which was inspired by Tribes.
I have started to stream my gameplay. www.twitch.tv/ggcasting under the name GuitarGuy. You can find more community streams at http://tribescast.com/community/streams. NASL has also put T:A into their rotation and have already produced some of the most nail biting competition and it's only going to get better.
Check it out. Hi-Rez employees hang out on irc.tribalwar.com port: 6667 in #ascend, as do I, under the name GuitarGuy. If you have any questions regarding the game hit me up in IRC. It would be awesome to get some people at LanDiego into the game and maybe have some tournaments for it once private servers are released.
